This is what I kept saying to myself to get through the stress of moving on Friday into a townhouse I've never seen before. Dan looked at rentals while I was in New York and we had to make a decision on a rental since we close at the end of the month.
It was hard not to be nostalgic of the condo. Chloe had many firsts there. During the five years of living there, Dan and I made that place ours: We painted the bedroom and dining room walls nice "pottery barn" colors; We replaced many of the appliances; and Dan installed the kitchen countertops. He also added shelving to make room for my shoe and bag collection. Not to mention the awesome location near a metro, running trail, and a movie theatre. All of this conveys to the next couple that will live there.
Thank goodness the nostalgia went away when I explored the townhouse. Chloe has a lot more room to run around and she is quickly learning how to climb up and down the stairs. With three full baths, Dan and I can take a shower at the same time in different bathrooms. Did I mention how big the washer and dryer are? And ooh, there's lots of closet space and the kitchen has a pantry! I'll try not to get too attached to the townhose since our stay is temporary. Our search for a single family home in a good school district continues.
