One of my nicknames for Dylan is "mon petit chou chou" which is a French term of endearment and translates into "my little cabbage". However, with his tendency to try on any pair of shoes within three feet, he should be called "mon petit shoe-shoe".
Dylan definitely fits the "petit" part of his nickname - weighing in at 21 lbs (with clothes on). He's off the growth chart for weight, but his head size and height is average. Dan and I have weighed him so many times on our digital scale, that he knows how to use it - or at least get the numbers flashing. He'll walk into the bathroom, tap the scale with his foot, smile at the flashing zeroes and walk on top of the scale.
For a little guy, he's fearless. He'll climb onto anything and when I'm changing him on my bed, he loves to escape and walk very close to the edge of the bed. When he does escape, all I have to do is fake a cry and he comes charging at me ready for a tackle-hug.
Dylan just turned 18 months last week. He loves to dance when his toys play music and if I sing "Ring Around the Rosie", he'll turn in circles and when I get to the part "We all fall down". He'll look at me smile and drop to his bottom. He easily says "Mama", "Dada" and calls Chloe "Lowee". No matter how old or how tall he gets, he'll still be mon petit chou chou.
